Sylvia Mantella is the Vice President of Marketing, Sponsorship, and Philanthropy at Mantella Corporation.
She joined the company in 2008 as Director of Marketing and Branding and has over 20 years of experience developing successful marketing and brand strategies.
Under her leadership, Mantella Corporation has become a highly respected national brand, recognized for its sustainable and strategic marketing approach. Through carefully curated partnerships and collaborations, Sylvia has helped position the company as a significant contributor to organizations making a meaningful impact across Canada.

In July 2023, Sylvia Mantella and Elana Rabinovitch of the prestigious Giller Foundation co-founded The Giller Mantella Scholarship. This scholarship supports Black, Indigenous, and racialized high school graduates in Canada pursuing post-secondary education in creative writing and literature, awarding $10,000 annually to three deserving recipients.
Sylvia has served as Board Member of the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) since 2017.
Sylvia was appointed to the Board of Directors for The Sick Kids Foundation in June 2025, the number one Children’s Hospital in the world.
Sylvia serves on multiple Canadian advisory boards and committees dedicated to philanthropy. Her work supports organizations ranging from hospitals and cancer research initiatives to community programs that create equity and positive change in the lives of children, youth, and women across Canada.
Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including:
VOGUE 100 Honoree (2021) Recognized during International Women Month for her lifelong dedication to animal advocacy, championing the right of all animals to live free from fear, abuse, exploitation, and extinction.
CANFAR Philanthropist of the Year Award (2019-2020)
President Award for Outstanding Contribution to Canadian HIV and AIDS Research
ICRF Women of Action Inspirational Award (2020) – Honored by the Israel Cancer Research Fund for her philanthropic impact.
Since 2022, Sylvia has served on the advisory committee for the Women Empowerment Awards, which celebrates the achievements of women in Canadian business, leadership, community service, and lifetime contributions.
She is also a founding member of the Patrons Council for the Kings Trust Canada (since 2018), supporting programs that help equity-deserving youth and veterans secure meaningful employment through training and mentorship.
A passionate advocate for wildlife welfare and conservation, Sylvia has dedicated decades to the protection of wildlife and endangered species.
In 2010, she and her husband, Robert, founded a licensed private animal sanctuary in Florida, governed by the USDA as Florida Fish wildlife Commission, home to 300 rescued at risk animals.
Through this initiative, she continues her unwavering commitment to the preservation and care of vulnerable species.
